Part two is having a motor with the
optimum performance. Lance Armstrong could probably win the Tour de
France on a $600 Trek road bike. Alison Dunlap could win a world cup XC race on a
$400 GT with a cheapo suspension fork from Taiwan. Marty Nothstein could out sprint anyone on a stock
$500 track bike. The
bike is only a small part of why someone wins a race.
The problem with most athletes (whether they want
to be competitive or not) is that they train based on
quantity, not quality. This is especially important for the vast majority
of us who maintain a normal life with a real job. By having such a limited amount of time to train,
it becomes that much more important that every moment
spent riding is for a specific purpose. |
| GRAYBAND coaching puts you on a program designed
and customized for your event and endurance goals, time
constraints and environment. Also included are weight training and flexibility programs,
